About Me - Nadia Fankhauser

I am Nadia Fankhauser. My specialty is Data Visualization and Business Dashboard Design, where I apply principles of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytical UI/UX. My passion lies in transforming complex data into strategic KPIs and meaningful visualizations that truly drive informed decision-making.

My background combines over 15 years as an Art Director – where I developed a deep understanding of the power of infographic design to distill and convey complex information – with over 7 years dedicated specifically to Business Intelligence and data visualization. Currently, I work at AYESA, collaborating closely with analysts, engineers, data scientists, and business experts to drive high-value analytical initiatives for our clients.

My interest in analytics solidified while pursuing a master's degree at KSchool (Madrid), where I discovered the potential of visualization as an essential discipline to amplify data analysis and communication. This background allows me today to act as a liaison between business and technology areas, designing intuitive dashboard interfaces (in tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, and Qlik), developing customized KPIs, and optimizing information usability.

My Process at KPIFrontier

  • Multidimensional Analysis: I investigate how integrating data from multiple sources can lead to more holistic and actionable KPIs.
  • Conceptual Design: Based on industry research and emerging trends, I propose new KPI models tailored to dynamic business environments.
  • Conceptual Validation: Each KPI is theoretically evaluated for its feasibility, supported by research and practical examples when available. Many of these ideas are exploratory, inviting validation and discussion by the professional community.

The Purpose of KPIFrontier

This platform is designed to:

  • Conceptually explore advanced KPIs tailored to dynamic and evolving business needs.
  • Propose theoretical formulas and share examples of practical implementations.
  • Foster discussions on the real-world application of cutting-edge KPI methodologies.
  • Investigate methodologies for extracting more value from data in various business projects.

My Approach

  • I present ideas grounded in research and theoretical analysis.
  • I focus on specific and advanced concepts, avoiding generalities.
  • My approach remains critical and analytical, constantly questioning and refining ideas.
  • I continuously explore new methodologies and their potential applications as the analytics field evolves.

Continuous Learning and Connection

KPIFrontier is a personal project in constant evolution, reflecting my commitment to continuous learning in the dynamic field of analytics and data visualization. Concurrently, I explore other specific technical challenges and share solutions on PowerBIMac.com, a site dedicated to optimizing the use of Power BI in Mac environments.

If you share this passion for data, design, and strategic measurement, I invite you to connect on LinkedIn and join the conversation. I'm always open to discussing how to turn data into smarter decisions.
